Frequently asked questions

Is this service part of the NHS?

No, this is private service. You can access our service independently, which means avoiding the long waiting times affecting NHS autism services across Wales.

Will my GP accept your report?

Assessments are carried out by experienced clinicians using recognised diagnostic tools such as ADOS-2, in line with NICE guidance. Our reports are written so the GPs, schools and other professionals involved in your care can use them, which helps ensure the findings are widely recognised.

Some NHS services and local authorities may apply their own criteria before acting on a private diagnosis. Our reports are also written to support reasonable adjustments in schools and workplaces, and if you’d like, we can send your report directly to your GP to support joined-up care.

What support is available after diagnosis?

We have a post-diagnostic support service, offering personalised guidance reflecting your assessment results. We cover practical adjustments, understanding your sensory profile, communication support and daily living strategies.

Is the process confidential?

Yes, completely. We’re fully GDPR compliant with robust data protection. Your assessment details remain confidential and secure and are never shared with anyone else without your consent.

Avoid long NHS waiting times and get the support you need sooner. Book your private online autism assessment with Xyla and take the next step with a trusted provider for autism assessments in Wales.
