Frequently asked questions

Is this service part of the NHS?

No, we operate independently as a private provider. You can access our service directly, avoiding the long NHS waiting times affecting autism services in Oxfordshire.

Will my GP accept your report?

Yes, our assessments are clinically robust and widely accepted. We use evidence-based tools such as ADOS-2 and follow NICE guidelines throughout. Oxfordshire GPs regularly work with our reports.

Some NHS services and local authorities may apply their own criteria before acting on a private diagnosis, including when they review documentation for an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). If you’d like, we can send your report directly to your GP to support joined-up care.

What support is available after diagnosis?

For ongoing support beyond your diagnosis, we offer post-diagnostic support as an additional service. This includes one-to-one remote sessions with specialists, referrals for lifestyle and wellbeing education, peer support groups and guidance on navigating workplace and educational environments.

We can also point you towards Oxfordshire autism services, local support groups and relevant practitioners.

Is the process confidential?

Yes, completely. We maintain strict confidentiality under GDPR law, with secure systems protecting your information throughout the assessment process and beyond. Your information is never shared with anyone else without your consent.

No long NHS waiting times and quicker access to the support you need. Book your private online autism assessment with Xyla and take the next step with a trusted provider for autism assessments in Oxfordshire.
