Frequently asked questions

Is this assessment provided by the NHS?

No, Xyla is an independent provider delivering private ADHD assessments. This allows people to access an evaluation without waiting for an NHS referral pathway.

Many people choose this route when they want answers sooner or prefer the flexibility of an online assessment.

Will healthcare professionals accept the diagnosis?

Our reports are prepared so they can be used by GPs, schools, employers and other professionals involved in your care.

Assessments are carried out by experienced clinicians using established diagnostic methods such as Conners and DIVA-5. The assessment process follows NICE guidance and clinical procedures used across healthcare settings, which helps ensure the findings are widely recognised.

Some NHS services may still require their own review before prescribing medication. Local authorities may also have specific criteria when reviewing documentation for EHCP applications. If you agree, we can send your report directly to your GP.

Can medication be prescribed through Xyla?

If ADHD is diagnosed and medication may help, your clinician will explain the available options and how to access them. However, Xyla does not prescribe ADHD medication at present.

Support does not stop at diagnosis. We provide information, lifestyle guidance and resources designed to help individuals manage ADHD day to day through post-diagnostic support.

How is my data protected?

Confidentiality is taken very seriously. All appointments and records are managed under strict privacy standards and comply with GDPR regulations.

Your information stays secure and is never shared with third parties without your consent.

Don’t worry about long NHS waiting times and access the help you need sooner. Book your private online ADHD assessment with Xyla and take the next step with a trusted provider for ADHD assessments in Glasgow.
