Frequently asked questions

Is this service part of the NHS?

No, we’re a private service. Liverpool’s NHS autism pathways have very long waits. Our service offers timely access to quality assessment.

Will my GP accept your report?

Our reports are written so the GPs and other professionals involved in your care can use them. Assessments use standardised diagnostic tools such as ADOS-2 and follow NICE guidance, which helps ensure the findings are widely recognised.

If a GP or NHS service prefers to apply their own criteria before acting on a private diagnosis, we’re experienced in coordinating with Liverpool healthcare providers to keep things joined up.

What support is available after diagnosis?

You’ll get tailored recommendations based on your assessment. We focus on practical support: helping you understand your diagnosis, connecting you with resources and providing strategies that work in real life.

We offer post-diagnostic support, including wellbeing guidance, lifestyle adjustments and educational materials. We can also point you towards community groups and specialist services.

Is the process confidential?

Completely. We’re GDPR compliant with secure data systems. Your assessment remains confidential throughout.

Avoid long NHS waiting times and get the support you need sooner. Book your private online autism assessment with Xyla and take the next step with a trusted provider for autism assessments in Liverpool.
