The space in which these sessions are conducted must be the right fit for those accessing it. For some, talking face to face with a professional is not a concern, but for many it can be overwhelming and stressful even within the most comfortable of settings.
Digital sessions allow you to access our intervention with more anonymity and with the ability to pick where you feel comfortable for your sessions to take place. Our clinicians are trained and experienced in working digitally and come with resources and ideas to help you engage on the digital platform. As with face-to-face work, all our clinicians are supervised by an experienced supervisor and their work is audited internally to ensure that you are getting the best standard of practice you deserve.
These sessions are educational, and will include information to help you understand your diagnosis, the common symptoms you may be experiencing, and specific tools and techniques to help you with the difficulties you may be experiencing.
We offer our post-diagnostic support in blocks of four. Your first session is a one-to-one introduction—designed to help you take that first step with clarity and confidence, at your own pace. The following three sessions are tailored to your individual needs, sessions may include psychoeducation and are always shaped around what matters most to you. For younger individuals, we include parent involvement to ensure the right support is in place.
Sessions are held remotely, we find this makes it easier to attend and makes sessions more accessible. Sessions are held via a secure video connection, this is to ensure that you get the most of out of your sessions.
We recommend you attend sessions weekly, however, our team can support you to book the appointments around your schedule and at times that work for you.
We find that people gain more from their sessions through regular attendance, however we understand that there may be times when circumstances change.
Please contact our patient support team on 0333 070 5630 who will be able to cancel your session for you.
Please note that if you miss two or more sessions without notice that may result in discharge from the service.
